Our Team

Peter Mooney purchased Flexible Benefits Systems Inc. in January 2018.  

He has been in the qualified plan and employee benefits space since 1993. Peter began his career in the financial service industry with AXA where he developed an organizational group for corporate employee benefits programs and estate planning alternatives. He played a key role in attracting accountants to enhance their practices by offering financial services to their clients. 

In 2001 he created Source Companies that concentrated on the retirement plan space and helped business owners with their plan design to maximize the plan. They also worked with the employees to maximize their retirement.  

Peter earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Cleveland State University. Outside the office, he enjoys boating, fishing, attempting golf, traveling and spending time with his family.  Peter resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife Leanne.

Megan Shean has been with our firm since 2020 and oversees FBSI's daily operations, recordkeeping, compliance, payroll integration, trading, distributions, and loans. 

She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from John Carroll University. Prior to joining FBSI, Megan worked in banking. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and husband, Tim. 

Celeste Ward has been with our firm since 2021 with years of experience in the benefits field working in HR and as a plan sponsor.

Celeste is a compliance analyst and oversees FBSI's accounting, plan conversions, and deconversions. 

In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, crafting - quilting, painting, pottery making, and the outdoors - kayaking, beekeeping, gardening. 
 

Amy O'Donnell joined the FBSI team in 2021 as our Onboarding Specialist. 

Jordyn Mooney joined FBSI in 2023. Jordyn is responsible for providing customer service to plan sponsors and participants and also assists with distributions and loans. 

Jordyn is a recent graduate of John Carroll University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminology. 

In her free time, she is an avid concert goer, travel enthusiast, loves a good book, and spending time with family and friends.
